Our
Commitments

For several years now, the Hôtel Royal Riviera and its team have chosen to actively commit to a socially and environmentally responsible approach. Driven by our desire to offer our guests an experience that is both memorable, unique, and respectful of the environment, we have implemented an environmental policy that lies at the heart of our development strategy.

For you, for us, and for future generations, we are doing everything possible to minimise the environmental impact of our activities:

By raising awareness among our teams and our guests:

  • Our Environmental Manager has completed dedicated training focused on the challenges of sustainable tourism, environmental preservation, and CSR.
  • Our teams are trained in eco-friendly practices to be applied in their daily tasks.
  • We select our partners based on their social and environmental commitments.
  • Educational materials (brochures, displays) are made available to help guests discover local biodiversity.
  • We offer numerous alternatives to reduce car travel, including bicycle rentals and access to public transport.

By adopting responsible consumption practices:

Aware of the impact of our activities, we strive to optimise every aspect of our operations.

Water management:

  • Installation of water-saving devices and pressure reducers on taps and showers to preserve this vital resource.
  • Our water and electricity consumption is monitored on a monthly basis.

Energy management:

  • Over 95% of our lighting is equipped with LED or low-energy bulbs, providing significant energy savings while maintaining the same level of comfort for our guests.
  • We offer e-billing to reduce paper and ink consumption.

By reducing and sorting waste:

  • Sorting stations are installed throughout the property; each room is equipped with a recycling bin.
  • We sort all types of waste, including bio-waste, which is composted for recovery.
  • We prioritize bulk products and large-format packaging to reduce waste.
  • Used soaps are entrusted to our partner SapoCycle, which recycles and reprocesses them with the support of people with disabilities before they are distributed to communities in need through French humanitarian organizations.
  • Clear signage has been implemented to guide our guests in sorting their waste, in accordance with local regulations.
  • We do not offer any disposable tableware, except for takeaway sales.

By caring for your well-being:

  • We provide local products from short supply chains to encourage responsible consumption.
  • Our breakfast offerings and menus include vegetarian dishes, organic or fair-trade products, seasonal items, and options suitable for specific dietary requirements.
  • All cleaning products are eco-labeled, ensuring better air quality and a healthy environment.
  • To protect your health and that of our teams, we have eliminated bleach, which is harmful to both the respiratory system and the environment;
  • The property is entirely non-smoking.
  • Our water and electricity consumption is monitored monthly.

Going further each year:

  • Our old furniture and equipment are donated to local reuse centers.
  • Each year, we commit to new criteria to further enhance our approach. And because every idea matters, we warmly welcome your suggestions.

The Royal Riviera is committed to tomorrow. Together, let’s make each stay a step toward a more responsible future.

Thank you for supporting our approach during your stay!

To strengthen our commitment and pursue continuous improvement, we are in the process of obtaining the Green Key certification.

The Green Key label recognizes tourist accommodations and restaurants that are engaged in a voluntary, effective, and dynamic environmental approach. The label is awarded annually by an independent jury of experts and professionals from the tourism and environmental sectors.
